PIOTR NERMER

Bio

 

Piotr Nermer is a violinist, composer and arranger. He is a classically trained musician (graduated

from the Frederic Chopin University of Music) whose interests are focused on music for audiovisuals.

​

As a film composer, he attended masterclasses with Christopher Young, Richard Bellis, Gavin

Greenaway and Jan A. P. Kaczmarek, to name a few. 

​

Piotr was a finalist of the Transatlantyk Film Music Competition and 3d place winner of the Krakow Film Music Festival Young Talent Award in 2024.

​

Piotr composed music for many short films and two feature films. They have been screened at many festivals around the world (USA Hollyshorts - Los Angeles, Austin Texas, Rhode Island, Mexico - Monterrey, Spain - Valencia, New Zealand - Auckland, Bosnia and Herzegovina - Sarajevo, Czechia - Karlovy Vary, Poland - Gdynia, Warsaw, Koszalin).​ As a session musician he recorded many solo parts for films, video games (Wingspan) and commercials (IKEA).

Piotr Nermer also composed music for Amadea Music Productions Ltd, Eurozone Music and Schubert Music Library. He is also a Sonic Minds Approved Vendor® for the Copenhagen-based audio branding company Sonic Minds, responsible for audio logos for such brands like: Scania, Jabra, Carlsberg Goup, IKEA, Volvo, and Maersk.

Piotr is also a member of the advisory board for the Polish Audio Community, a group of professionals working in the film, recording and gaming industry as composers, performers, sound designers and music journalists.
