PIOTR NERMER
Bio

Piotr Nermer is a Warsaw-based composer and audio director with over ten years of professional experience in film scoring, game audio and production music.

 

His work gravitates toward the atmospheric and the cinematic — horror underscore, ambient texture, music that defines the emotional space of a scene before a single word is spoken. He is classically trained as a violinist, which gives his compositions a melodic core that sits beneath the surface of even his most abstract work.

 

In film, Piotr Nermer has scored features and shorts across Poland, Egypt and internationally, including films selected for Venezia Shorts or Hollyshorts Los Angeles.

He serves as Audio Director and Management Board Member of Dark Photon Games, where he oversees the complete audio direction of an original sci-fi IP currently in development. His production music catalogue spans over seventy tracks placed with European and international libraries.

 

He attended Composers Summit Prague as part of the official delegation of the Society of Polish Audiovisual Composers, and has pursued advanced study in film scoring with Christopher Young in Dublin and under Jan A. P. Kaczmarek in Poland. In 2024 he was awarded third place in the Young Talent Award at the Film Music Festival in Kraków.

 

He is a member of ZAiKS and works across film, television, games and sync.
